I just download this hack and tested it out in game. I did have the custom painting option and he painted in the an hour.

Custom painting?

Thanks for this Squinge!! Most of my sims are always wanting to paint but I won't let them because of how long it takes, but now they can paint!! YAY

I thought the 'custom painting' option is a new feature with Pets, it lets you choose an image you prepared earlier to be painted by your sim. It brings up a browse window so you can choose which pic to paint and scale it.
