World Adventures Information

Either mod works all right with WA or Patches 1.7.9 and higher. If there is a problem using the mod, make sure you install the mod into the right directory path:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Mods\Packages (XP users)

Or similar for Vista and Windows 7 players.

Other than that, I can't help with install issues because I don't use either Vista or Windows 7. You might need to search Sims 3 forums for help installing them into the right location.



Faster Garden Tasks - Sims 3 enables Sims without the Green Thumb trait and Super-Green Thumb reward to harvest, weed and water the plants much faster than they originally did, but they perform the tasks slightly slower than those Sims with the Green Thumb trait and Super-Green Thumb reward.

Features:

Weed is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
Fertilize is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
Chance for weeds to appear is increased to compensate for the faster weeding task.


Faster Garden Tasks - Only Skills Unlocked With No Increased Weed Chance

Features:

Weed is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
Fertilize is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.


Faster Garden Tasks - No Unlocked Skills And Rares With No Increased Weed Chance

Features:

Only the harvesting, weeding and watering times are reduced.
No increased chance for weeds to appear.


Faster Garden Tasks - All Skills And Rares Unlocked With Increased Weed Chance

Features:

Weed is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
Fertilize is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
All rare seeds are unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.

Faster Garden Tasks - All Skills And Rares Unlocked With No Increased Weed Chance

Features:

Weed is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
Fertilize is unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
All rare seeds are unlocked for Sims with no skill level in Gardening.
No increased chance for weeds to appear.

Special Notes:

Sims without the Green Thumb trait and Super-GreenThumb reward will take roughly 30 minutes to water at least 3 plants and 30 minutes to weed at least 3 plants. Sims without the Green Thumb trait and Super-GreenThumb reward will fertilize the plants at the same rate as those with the trait and reward do fertilizing the plants.


Sims 3 only!

Note:

This mod may or may not conflict with other similar mods. Use Indie Stone Compatibility Checker to ensure there is no conflict between this mod and other identical mods. It's one or the other, not both!

Nothing is enabled in the mod to allow children to perform gardening tasks.

I'm with you on this duty....tending the garden seems to take a lifetime.....and the minute the sim finishes....the garden needs tending all over again!    Thanks for sharing!!!

Can you do an alternative version where

(a) you still have to have the necessary skills to do the weeding and fertilizing

and

(b) where the weeds still grow at their original speed  . It seems rather pointless being able to weed faster but then having to weed more often .

Did you only want the faster version without the unlocked skills and the increased chance for weeds to appear?

Are these mods Ok for WA or haven't they been checked. does anyone know please

I played with one of the two mods personally. Both mods seemed to work okay with WA without any significant changes. You only need to download one mod or the other, not both.

The only thing that changed is the location to install the mods into:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Mods\Packages

The above is for XP users, but the location should be similar for Vista and maybe Windows 7 players.
