Nalia, if you go into the game settings, there's an option to turn off the cinematics.

Joy, if I turn the cinematics off, then they don't play and I can't take photos. Or, I am seriously mistaken?

Turning off cinematics just means that the video for that particular part (for example: simmies' proposal) will be acted out by your simmies and you can pause to take pics of them at that time ^^ It does not mean you'll be stopping it totally from playing

Disabling the cinematics just stops the little mini movies from playing, not the game.
