I present you with the house from the Agatha Christie novel ’10 Little soldier boys’. Based upon the house from the BBC TV mini series ‘Then there were none’.
The house of U N Owen. ‘Then there were none’ for those of you who don’t know the storyline, 10 strangers are invited to a house owned by a Mr or Mrs UN Owen and are killed one by one in correspondence with an old children’s nursery rhyme.
Comprises 3 main floors with a rotunda on the roof to make an attic area.
Basement: Kitchen, larder, serving room with dumb waiter. Bed and bathroom for Mr and Mrs Rogers.
Ground: Main hall, secondary hall, Library, Smoking room, games room, Salon, Dining room. 2 toilets, serving area besides the dining room with of course the upper part of the dumb waiter. There is also a liqueur store room and the small room beside the salon with the gramophone player where the disk was played accusing all of murder!
1st floor: 8 bedrooms all ensuite, a small seating area and access to the rotunda.
The grounds are barely landscaped in keeping with both the original book and the BBC version. As shown in the pictures from the series the grounds are barren.
Sits on the 4x4 lot, fully furnished and decorated in a 1930’s style. Costs: 412’000
